Fragile Lines (2022)
This performance, titled 'Fragile lines', explores the fragile boundary between intrusion and vulnerability through the observation of visual rhythms. It is an extension of the artist's investigation into the phenomena that emerge at the boundary between two different environments,
such as artificial/natural, coastal/offshore, and mechanical/biological.
In this performance, Unknown Kim creates a visual pattern using time-lapse satellite photos taken over 25 years at five locations where the sensitive changes of the coastal area have been observed due to rising temperatures. Along with the movement of the lines that appear connected, the artist composes music by transforming the sounds collected by himself over two years from domestic and overseas coastal areas.
This performance is presented with the French Embassy in Korea and the Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival.
